Economic and social indicators can explicitly describe the economic situation and the potential improvements of a country, as well as they can be part of an international comparison. These 48 economic and social indicators compiled by IEER illustrate the most important economic processes and current situation of Hungary. They can also help us to evaluate Hungary in the regional contest and compare with its earlier performance. In the indicator-set yearly, quarterly and monthly data are available. The data collection was closed on 1st September.

The result of the June 23th United Kingdom referendum shocked the world. The sudden drop in the exchange rate of the British Pound on the following days supports this very clearly (see Figure 1, 23 to 30 June 2016). In the following brief analysis we describe potential effects of Brexit that may have an impact on Hungary in the medium term. In our work we summarize the conclusions of the Hungarian and international literature related to the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union. The most obvious result of the referendum so far is the financial and political uncertainty that is dominating Europe. Another effect may be a significant decline in the Hungarian Gross Domestic Product in 2016 and the next few years.

How can we characterize the Hungarian vocational training, what can we interpret the trends? How can we describe the students in the vocational schools and what awaits them on the labour market? These questions were analyzed by the Institute for Economic and Enterprise Research by summarizing the facts and data referring to the vocational training from the last 10-15 years.

Today's economic and social life tends to be fundamentally affected by the development and products of software industry. In the era of "information society", the changes and movements of this field have significant impacts on many segments of the society. In our study, one of our main purposes is to reveal the most important tendencies of the software industry recently. We also intend to detect the changes orienting the most probable future developments of this market. In order to complete our purposes, we concentrate our work not only on global and local trends, but we also introduce the histories and current characteristics of some typical software companies of our time.

The aim of the research is to give a concise review of the situation ofvocational training, and depict thechanges in the structure of vocations and in the content of vocational trainings from the viewpoint of economic growth. Based onin-depth interviews with professionals, we collected the most important changes and actual characteristics of 16 different vocations.

In our study, we are dealing withcomparative analysis of different vocationaltraining systems in nine countries. We give a concise summary on the theoretical models and their empirical outcomes. We pay special attention to thethe role that county chambers play in the different vocational training systems.

Our study deals with the usage patterns of informatics, how enterprises use it, and what effects does it have on the employment. Our results are based on international experiences. We paid special attention to the acquirement of computer skills, what effects does it have on the job market and how these new technologies extend between enterprises.
