In our study, we are dealing withcomparative analysis of different vocationaltraining systems in nine countries. We give a concise summary on the theoretical models and their empirical outcomes. We pay special attention to thethe role that county chambers play in the different vocational training systems.

Our survey in the SME Outlook – sixth in a row and conducted between 23 April and 2 May 2006 – focused not only on the business situation of SMEs, but also on their opinions about the administrative burdens. We depicted what administrative tasks mean the greatest burdens for the enterprises, how long do the different administrative task take, what administrative tasks may count as burdens, affecting the efficiency of the sector.

Our survey in the SME Outlook – fifth in a row and conducted between 23-27 January 2006 – focused not only on the business situation of SMEs, but also on the expected response of the SMEs to two government action affecting the labour market: on the one hand, the intended minimal-wage increase from January 2006; on the other hand the exemption from social contributions in case of permanent unemployment. We shed light on how will the SMEs be affected by this two decisions of the government and what responses will these decisions evoke from the SMEs part.

Significantly increasing business anticipations among Hungarian enterprises

Our recent study is based on a survey conducted between October and November 2005, and it aims to measure the anticipations of SME's on business climate and employment trends with special emphasis on the actual situation of recent graduates.

Institute for Economic and Enterprise Research in collaboration with the Hungarian Ministry of Employment and Labour conducted a research on the expected demand of labour and short-term business expectations of 8040 enterprises.

Our survey in the SME Outlook – forth in a row and conducted between 24-29 October – focused on the opinions of SMEs about the institutional environment. We shed light on how the elements of institutional environment affect certain SMEs, and on what elements give an impact on certain types of SMEs.

Our survey in the SME Outlook - third in a row - focused on the business conjecture and the characteristics of chain indebtedness. To what extent is it prevalent among SMEs?

Our research results are based on a survey with the 300 biggest enterprises of the Hungarian manufacturing industry. We are measuring their labour demand for recent graduates and analysing the factors that determine this demand.
