Reducing the share of early leavers from education and training is one of the specific objectives of the Europe 2020 strategy (target: below 10%). The ‘early leavers from education and training’ is defined as the percentage of the population aged 18-24 with at most lower secondary educaton (ISCED 0-2) and who were not involved in further education or training during the last four weeks preceding the survey (Labour Force Survey, LFS).
